Series of Temporary Installations, 2025 / Funes, Santa Fe, Argentina

Inspired by strategies validated through previous projects, the pavilion's design combines a pedagogical approach with a material exploration to create a functional architectural artifact, utilizing CLAC recycled plastic bricks.
During the design process, the properties of these bricks were explored through the assembly of partial prototypes and the development of 3D models, aiming to optimize the construction process. The resulting pavilion is an open-top rectangular prism built with bricks rotated at a 45º angle. This arrangement, combined with the incorporation of openings, lintels, and platforms, enhances the structural logic of the material and highlights its physical qualities. On a sensory level, the varied placement of transparent bricks creates an interplay of light and shadow that shifts in character depending on the external lighting. In this way, the proposal merges an industrialized element—born from a recycling process—with a logic derived from traditional masonry construction methods.
Designed for the UCSF exhibition space in Rosario, the pavilion serves as a testament to the studio’s commitment to exploring new design and construction approaches. The project was developed within the framework of the Morphology II course (FAD-UCSF) by Germán Rodríguez Labarre, who led a collaborative process involving students in a hands-on workshop.
The pavilion was installed in less than 12 hours with the participation of 26 students, who engaged directly with the system alongside all members of estudio qo and Taller la Fundación. The intervention utilized approximately 10,000 bricks, marking a pioneering experience in the large-scale use of CLAC bricks.
