Built project, 2019 / Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina

The renovation involves the intervention of a typical argentinean "casa de pasillo" located in the center of a block in Rosario. Historically, these types of dwellings have often undergone extensions and remodels aligned with the changing needs of successive occupants. Following this same inertia—and at the same time taking into account contemporary ways of living—our intervention is understood as just one more transformation. In this case, it proposes an open, integrated setting for domestic life, primarily by revaluing the patio and its vegetation, turning it into a lung for the house.
The project centers on a system that acts as both a divider and a transition between spaces, forming a flexible framework and creating an “in-between” that allows for partial fluctuations within the independent areas that make up the home. This system is built in reinforced concrete, serving as the structural support for the upper floor, and replaces the traditional pre-existing wall division while still maintaining spatial economy.
